The Fiddle Center is open for business!

Fiddlers and violinists all along the Gulf Coast have been patiently waiting for The Fiddle Center to open for business and now the wait is over. I hope to make this site a fresh resource for everyone who plays fiddle at any level, from beginner to advanced.

So whether you’re a fiddler or violinist yourself (or in need of one) explore my Educational & Performance Resource pages. Hopefully you’ll see something that will be of interest to you.

Slow session fiddlers perform at USA

Players from the Irish Trad Music Slow Sessions that I lead in Fairhope, AL and Ocean Springs, MS recently made their first public appearance at the University of South Alabama, playing in the lobby of Laidlaw Performing Arts Center before concerts given by my Celtic group Mithril. For some of them, it was the first time they had ever played in public! They did a great job on the jigs and reels and can’t wait to perform again. If you play fiddle, flute, whistle, accordion, guitar, Irish tenor banjo, and are interested in learning more about the slow session groups, visit the Slow Session page here. There’s always room for one more Irish music fan who wants to learn in our fun groups!
